has allocated millions of dollars in state grants for the research and development of cellulosic
ethanol. Charlie Crist signed legislation calling for 10 percent of our state’s petroleum to
include ethanol by 2010. Florida is now fully committed to biofuels.
As Governor, Charlie Crist, along with the Florida Cabinet, approved the first new nuclear plant in over thirty years. Charlie Crist supports nuclear energy and believes that it must be an integral part of our nation’s energy portfolio to enable reductions in greenhouse gases and other air pollutants.
